This week I thought I'd try something a little different!
Remember those wonderful new OZ stamps? Well this has been created using the flames from the Wicked Witch set.
I used a textured watercolour card for the base.
I decided where my first flower was going to be and after creating some masks of the flames (if you're not sure how to, see my how to mask video HERE) I placed a mask down on the card and then stamped the flame partially over the mask and partially over the card.
The reason I use the mask this early on, is if you just stamp the flame as a whole image, then you are left with a whole flame at the end and it looks odd as part of the flower.
I then mask the stamped image and do my second flame stamp, again half over the mask (stamped image) and half on the card, I continue repeating this in a circle to create my flower.
You can change the size and style of the flower by using exactly the same technique but by varying how tight the centre is.
Using distress inks I then painted each flower.
Some script from the Revolution set stamped randomly over, along with some vintage photo distress ink splashed over the background.
I then popped on the Once upon a Time Sentiment and rubbed in some enchanted gold guilding wax all over :)
Thanks for popping by xx
