Yay its the weekend, hope you all have a great one, especially those of you off to watch the fireworks!
I thought I was finished with Halloweeny bits, but I had this gorgeous Kenny K Trixxie Treat digi image, that I got a short while ago, but I hadn't gotten round to using her. The papers I used were the same, recently acquired, but thought I would have to wait to use them ;p
She is such a gorgeous digi that I didn't really want to wait until next year to use her, but I was feeling a bit spooked out!
Then I spotted this fabulously spooky haunted castle, complete with bats from MilkCoffee! And that was it, I couldn't resist...I just had to use this, along with the image and papers that were about to be put away.
The main backing paper is a green grungy paper with spiders all over it, the next layer is a browny/orange mat and then on top of that, is some yummy orange crackled effect paper, if Halloween wasn't over I could see this becoming a favourite..lol...I then popped on the 'Trick or Treat' sentiment.
The Halloween castle (and bats) were printed over the orange background, but I faded it slightly first, as I didn't want it to be a really harshblack, so you can just see the crackle paper peeking through. If you buy this image for yourself, it does come solid black in colour, so its very versatile.
The spiders web in the corner was a freebie from SVG Cuts cut from black card and as the rest of the card is quite matt in colour, I decided to use the shiny side showing. I bent the web a little to give it a slight 3D feel and stuck it down, ensuring it was still raised a little and not stuck flat down.
The Black gems were from my stash.
Trixxie was coloured with promarkers, using the traditional green and purple colour scheme. I was really happy with how she turned out, including her grey stockings, where you can still see a bit of the pink skin underneath ;p What do you think of her cute little top hat?
And that adorable little pumpkin candy holder?
So once again.. Happy Halloween :) Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by.
Hugs
