VISIBLE IMAGE - TICK TOCK, IS THAT A CLOCK?

Happy Sunday everyone, did you see our new releases over at Visible Image yesterday??

Wowie what wonderful fantasy stamps, they're sure to be loved by everyone :)

In case you missed it HERE is my blog post and samples using these amazing stamps and you can find all the new release stamps and more HERE in the online store.

Well onto today's post, today just happens to be my normal weekly blog date for Visible Image, so yay I get to show off more of their scrummy stamps. Have you seen that detail in the Dragonfly wings? Its lush and stamps gorgeously every time!!

The clock started off life, pretty plain and boring and certainly nothing special! So I got creating and as my Mums birthday is't far away and she lurrvvess Dragonflies, this will be for her :)

1. After taking it all apart I traced the face of the clock and then cut it out of a piece of cream card
2. I then distressed all around the newly cut circle.
3. I used the Grunge Flourish stamp to randomly stamp around one side of the face and the Dragonfly to stamp around the other.
3. I then left two dragonflies just as they are and painted two with perfect pearls, just to add a bit of colour and give them a nice shimmer.

4. I used the back end of the Grunge Flourish stamp to add the random bits around the Dragonfly side and centre, this was stamped with versamark and dusted with pewter Perfect Pearls
5. For the second hand that was bright red, i covered it in double sided adhesive, added some silver guilding flakes and swiped a bit of blue perfect pearls on it.
6. I cut the numerals out of black card using my silhouette and then swiped them across a white ink pad to give them a distressed look, I then glued them slightly offset onto more black card, to give a bit of a shadow and then glued them to the face of the clock.
7. For the outer edges of the clock, I stamped on tissue paper and then tore each one off. I adhered it to the clock, using a PVA and water mix. I did this until it was all covered. (I first sanded sown the outside of the clock)

8. I added the flowers and lace around the inner frame and carefully put it all back together.
9. For the Dragonfly and flowers on the outside of the clock, I stamped a Dragonfly and dipped him in my melt pot to coat him in a nice sumptuous shimmery brown layer and I dipped the flowers in clear embossing. This means they are all nice and hard and shiny and much harder wearing.
