It is also my eldest Becky's Birthday today, she is 19!! Where oh where did all those years go??
Anyway being 19 and working she has pretty much everything she needs/wants, so she had asked for money or perfume :)
We decided to give her some money, along with a few bits to open like a scrummy bubble gum scented candle (she loves candles) and a glass candle holder which I personalised (which i'll hopefully get to share soon).
So rather than tuck the money into a card or stick it in an envelope, I decided to make this adorable little box to pop it in.
I cut the template on my silhouette out of some pink patterned paper. Before I stuck it all together, I used the Rose stamp to stamp and heat emboss in white, in two of the corners.
I also used the Rose stamp with my spun sugar distress ink, to stamp across the centre pieces.
For her card, I used the Heart and sentiment stamps from the Tin Man set from the brand new OZ collection.
I just love these stamps, they are so different and look so good. I wanted to keep it CAS so stamped 3 hearts (because we love her lots :), coloured two in rusty browns and one in a pink to match in with the box and to make it pop in the centre, they were stamped with Archival ink and coloured with distress inks.
I popped the sentiment in the left hand corner and then added the word daughter onto some black card and stuck it in the corner, I really wanted this part to stand out.
