Today is my weekly post for Visible Image Stamps.
Very recently I got my inky little hands on some Dylusions, oh wow, the colours are out of this world!! For those of you that haven't heard of them yet, they are made by Ranger and are high quality concentrated colorant ink spray.
I still have a lot to learn of do's and dont's with them and lots of experimenting to do, but I love them already :)
1. This was one of my first plays with them, I randomly sprayed 'Calypso Teal' & 'Fuschia Pink' over the watercolour card. I should of let one colour dry before adding the other as they just mixed together lol...Lesson 1 learned.

2. I then added some 'After Midnight' to the top left hand corner.
3. Once it was all dry, I used some black archival ink to stamp the butterfly, retro dots and sentiment onto the card. I also used the Retro dots with some water.
4. Using the brush and water, I brushed water over the inside of the butterfly and the actual letters in the sentiment, gently dabbing off the excess ink as it lifted from the card, I continued this until both areas were 'bleached' of colour and very pale.
5. I then let this dry. Then using some of the dylusions watered down on a paint brush, I painted over the bleached areas, each in a single colour, to try and give the effect that colour was coming through from behind and to help them stand out.
6. After everything was dried, I used some gilding wax all around the edges and on random sections of the front. This added some nice shine and highlighted the texture in the watercolour card
Materials used:
Dylusions - Calypso Teal, Fuschia Pink, After Midnight
Visible image Stamps - Retro dots - butterfly - Live your dreams sentiment
Textured watercolour card
Pearl moon gilding wax
Paint brush and water
