IMAGINATION CRAFTS - GRUNGY PENHOLDER / STORAGE POT

Good morning all,I hope you are all well? Thank you all so much for the time you take peeking at my little blog, I truly appreciate all your support and comments and will always try and return the love :)  I hope you all have a great week.

Today is my midmonth challenge inspiration for Imagination Crafts, as always the challenge is 'Anything Goes' and the winner gets a whopping £40 to spend on Imagination Craft goodies. WOW!

I recently got hold of some bargain stacking boxes from IKEA and couldn't wait to get creating with them. They come as a set of 3, this is the medium sized box.

You may recall some of the grungy makes I have made to house some of my crafty stash, well this is the next instalment. This box has had its lid removed and has become a fun storage pot for my Wink of Stella pens

Firstly i used some homemade texture paste and the gorgeous Butterfly Blossom Duo stencil. I stencilled onto every side of the box, using different parts of the stencil and then left it all to dry.

The box was then covered in different coloured acrylic paints and I also used some of the smaller stamps from the Decoupage Clematis stamp set with some archival ink and stamped randomly to fill some of the gaps.

It was then all covered with some bitumen solution, dried and then places dabbed off to reveal the colour underneath.

I then used a gold gilding wax to rub over some of the raised areas to highlight them and give them some definition.

 Thanks for popping in :)
