EXCITING NEWS...AGAIN...& TOP TIP TUESDAY BORROWED SKETCH CHALLENGE :)
OK so I can finally spill my last major bit of exciting news and this is the bit i've had to hold in the longest hehe...
I've been asked to join all the other wonderful DT members over at Top Tip Tuesday :)))
Yay, yay, yay, I've been part of the team for about two weeks now (so now you can see why I've been bursting at the seams..hehe...Or is that too much cake? lol).
So I have really been getting to know them and they seem like a fab bunch of ladies, who have made me feel very welcome, Thanks Ladies :)
And wowow, have you seen my beautiful DT badge? (Check out the side bar) Isn't it gorgeous (shame its got a photo of me in though...lol) Thank you so much Lisa M :)
Well onto this weeks challenge, this week we are sponsored by the fabulous Stamp and Create and the wonderful MelJen the challenge is a Sketch challenge and this is the sketch
I decided to cross another Christmas card off my list and decided to use the adorable Wee Stamps image 'Berry' you can find her HERE in the Stamp and Create store.
I kept the card pretty simple, layering it up with green snowfall card and red card.
The cute little Poinsetias were made using a cut file I created with my silhouette software, cut out and then stuck together. They are exactly the same as the white poinsettias i used on this card the only difference is I made these much smaller and created one extra layer to be the leaves.
Berry was coloured using my Promarkers. I popped a little snowflake that I had cut previously and not used, behind the flowers, added a bit of ribbon and that was it, all done.
And as the name kind of says, we like to share tips over at TTT, so here's mine:
Tip: If you have something fiddly with fine edges or pieces to glue on to your project, (like the snowflake in mine) rather than struggling and taking time to get glue onto every tiny little bit with a fine tip glue nib. Instead put a blob of glue on the back of your hand, your glass cutting mat or a non stick surface, then using a scrap of card, gently spread it into a thinish layer over this surface. Then take your fiddly piece, lay it onto your glue, gently tap it down, it picks up the glue all over and as you have used a non stick surface, just lift it off and adhere to project. No mess, no fuss, no glue coming through the gaps etc and very quick
Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's work and don't forget they will also have some great tips they are sharing :)
We would love for you to join us over at Top tip Tuesday for our sketch challenge, so why not head over there now?
