CC&CC CHALLENGE #55 - NEW BEGININGS WITH MILKCOFFEE

Hey everyone :) Hope you all had a fabby Christmas day and that Santa (wink wink) brought you everything you wanted :)
I was a very lucky girl (not sure how as I didn't think I had been that good this year...lol) and got a lovely few crafty bits, which hopefully I will share with you very soon :p

The challenge this fortnight over at CC&CC has kindly been sponsored by MilkCoffee stamps and the theme is New Beginnings! As many of you may already know (or can see by the side bar :p) I am already lucky enough to get to work with the wonderful Nana & Esme and their gorgeous images (and lets not forget the fab DT :p) on a regular basis, as I am lucky enough to be part of their design team :) But I was extra excited to get to play with MilkCoffee images again, but this time for another DT :)

The image I picked for this challenge was Just married - Wedding car.
What a perfect new beginning - A marriage!

The background layer has had half dry embossed with dots and the top half has been stamped and clear (heat) embossed with a wedding bouquet stamp. It was hard to pick the clear embossing up in the photos but it creates a nice suttle backdrop, that doesn't detract from the image.

I then matted the image on textured pink card and added a matching pink ribbon through the back centre.

What a fun challenge to bring us ever closer to the beginning of a new year :)
Don't forget to pop along and take a look at the other fabulous images the DT have been using.

  4. First off 'Merry Christmas'.... Thank you so much for joining in with the LEJ Designs Challenge No. 84 - Anything Goes.

What a beautiful card. The simple and elegant white backing looks stunning with the embossing and gloss detailing in the top paper. The image is wonderfully coloured and looks gorgeous. Love the simple layout that allows the image to speak for itself.

This is the last Challenge of the year, as well as the last 'weekly challenge'. As of the 7th January, we will be going to Monthly Challenges and I hope you will join in with plenty more of our challenges in 2014.

  5. Great card, Sam! I really love the dry and heat embossing together. You're exactly right...it doesn't compete with that fun image at all. It just really gives a finished and polished look to your card. Nicely done, my friend.
Thanks so much for sharing at HIMCR. We hope to see you back very soon!
