CYP - CHALLENGE - BLACK, WHITE, RED & KRAFT

It's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion and this week the theme is 'Kraft, plus red, black & White'.

Our sponsors this week are 'QKR' with their massive range of rubber and digi stamps.

I picked 'Little Devil' as I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to get ahead on Halloween bits :) Hahahaha me organised, who ever heard of such a thing!

You may remember at Christmas time I made some sweet jars for presies, well Left over from then I had some Sherbet straws! They are dated until 2015, so plenty of time yet.

The straws didn't really go with the jars, but I thought they would be fine to keep for Halloween this year to give out to the kids ;P

However its a bit plain and boring just giving a sherbet straw or two out, so I decided I would be making some boxes to pop a few in.

Here are two of those boxes :P Each fit 5 sherbet straws in and are not too scarey :)

I cut up two old boxes from my stash and used my silhouette to draw the images onto the card. I did one larger image

and one smaller image with the words ' Trick or Treat' on the box.

I coloured the images using fired brick distress ink (from a pad).

And the wording was painted using acrylic paint.

For the larger image I made sure it wrapped around the box so the image showed all the way around.

I plan on making more of these in different designs so watch this space ;p

  12. This is such a cute idea. It would be fun to pop pencils into these little boxes as well...great party favour. Love how the image wraps around the side of the box and onto the back. The other one with the wording is equally fun. Clever!
