Its Tuesday and that means its challenge time over at Top Tip Tuesday. This fortnight the theme is 'stitching - faux or real' and there are some fab stitching tips on the main blog!
Our sponsor this fortnight is the adorable 2 Cute Ink and the gorgeous image I used is Monster Balloon
I was a bit daunted about colouring this little fella as he had such a big open space to fill, but as the theme was stitching, I decided to create a patched stitching effect all over him and colour sections! He hopefully looks a bit like he is made from a quilt. I tried to use bright but pastel type colours, making this ideal for a childs card.

He hopefully looks a bit like he is made from a quilt. I tried to use bright but pastel type colours, making this ideal for a childs card.
I coloured him with my Promarkers and as I have used a variety of colours, this card would be suited to either a boy or girl :)
The Designer Papers are from my stash and the band across the centre and the ribbon tails are made from printed monster DP, that was downloaded from the silhouette store.
I also added faux stitching around all of the monster DP.
I made a little badge tag for the corner and edged it with a promarker.
The tips of the paper ribbon tails are curled to help add a bit of dimension and the monster image is also slightly rounded and raised.
I was really happy with how he turned out in the end and bearing in mind I was worried about colouring him, I actually really enjoyed it :)
Thank you for popping by, don't forget to share your wonderful stitched creations and to check out the other fab DT projects
Hugs
