Tip - There are lots of different mediums out there that enable you to create your own fab faux metal pieces. These range from things like Guilding flakes and waxes, to metalic paints.
Faux metal creations, can mean you get something just the size or shape you want and the wonderful thing too, is they can be really light compared to real metal, making the weight less likely to effect your card and lowering the cost of postage.
I used an image from TiddlyInks that I have had for some time now as it was perfect for my brother in law who is an avid Fisherman. I spotted a fab creation by Larissa took inspiration and cased her card, this was my take on it (Thanks for the inspiration Larissa :).
I coloured this cute little fella using my Promarkers. I speckled the fish, so that it gave him a bit of texture and hopefully looked more like scales.
That fabby float digi paper was a purchase from the Silhouette online store, it's so fun and colourful don't you think? :)
To make it a little more personal, I popped my brother in laws name in the corner too!
As this challenge is Metal or Faux metal and I loved making the last set of charms I did so much, I thought I would give it another go. This time to match the card, I created some faux metal silver Fishing charms.
I used cut files from the silhouette store to create a fish and a rod charm. Both were cut out numerous times and then glued together to create a thicker shape. They were then painted with silver acrylic paint and left to dry.
I attached them to the card using some brass brads that I had painted green with my perfect pearls, so that they matched everything else better.
The image was matted onto matching green card and stuck on, it was as simple as that :)
I can't wait to see what everyone creates with this theme as its such a fun one.
