VISIBLE IMAGE - ISABELLA IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Hey all :) I hope you are all having a great weekend.

I'm back with a DT creation for Visible Image Stamps

Meet Isabella, Isn't she gorgeous?! She comes as part of a fab set called Isabella Lost Love.

The word and the rose stamped in the corner, are also both part of this set (and there's more!) and they are both just as great to use on their own, but this time they accompany Isabella herself :)

I have been wanting to make a spotlight card for some time now and am regularly inspired by those I see around blogland, including those made by my wonderful friends and DT sisters :) So here is my first attempt.

The great thing about a spotlight card is you can really highlight one area or a couple of areas. You also get various forms of spotlight cards, different shaped spotlights, innies or outies! I picked an outie as I wanted to be able to mat my spotlight on a matching colour.

Isabella was stamped twice and embossed to help the black lines pop. I chose to highlight Isabellas face and the heart she is holding and so cut this area out using a Sizzix die.

Both images were then coloured using Promarkers.
The parts of her not spotlighted were coloured with greys only and the spotlit area was coloured as I would normally. I then matted the normal layer, over the grey scale layer and mounted both onto matching card.

Now she was meant to be on a bright and happy feeling background lol, but I started playing with my mica powders and wow did they pop on black card, so I instead used black card as my base layer and stamped directly onto this! The most difficult part was that the card was shiny and so the stamp was very difficult to keep still!

The rose in the corner was stamped across both the image layer and the base layer. I popped some matching ribbon across the bottom and a little matching heart gem in the other corner.
I was quite pleased for my first spotlight card, I hope you like it.
