As its the 1st today (yay my birthday month, cake yum...lol), It's time for a brand new challenge over at Visible Image - This months challenge is a nice and easy one 'Anything goes' We can't wait to see your creations, so whether you have new or old Visible Image stamps, get them out and have a play :)
At the end of last month it was our very own boss lady Helen's birthday, so my challenge card, just so happens to be the card I made and sent her for her birthday :)
I decided to keep it simple and wanted to personalise it, so I decided to do Helen's name on the card.
I created and printed out the happy birthday and box around the card edge. I then cut out the letters using my Silhouette. One layer is white card and then there are two layers of cereal box card (yes, sorry Helen, you have recycling on your card hehe)
This just added a nice bit of depth to each letter. I then used permanent marker to colour the edges of the card black and offset them against the white to create a slight shadow effect.
Before sticking down I stamped different images onto each letter and also used distress inks and clear embossing powder.
The stamps I used were as follows:
Rose
Ink splats
Dandelion from Thankyou Set
Barbed Wire from Molly Rules set
Flourish from Revolution set
Don't forget to check out the challenge for your chance to win an amazing prize of a £20 spend on Visible Image's superb stamps.
