VISIBLE IMAGE - GIVE ME COURAGE....

Good morning all :)

Today is my first 2015 weekly post for Visible Image Stamps!

This year I have some big plans, well I say big, but what I mean is big for me :)

I really intend on pushing myself as a designer and finally want to make the leap into demonstrating (and not just behind a camera). I also want to start up some local colouring classes, as of course colouring is one of my main passions.

So with this in mind and knowing how my confidence normally is (very lacking! lol) I was inspired to use the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of OZ range of Visible Image stamps.

I have made him into a card also using the 'find your courage sentiment' from his set.

The embellishment in the corner was made using another of the stamps in his set, i first coloured a piece of card with the same coloured Promarker I used for his eyes (just to match it all in ;p ) and i then stamped and embossed it in white over the top. I then fussy cut it out, slightly curved parts of it and mounted it onto my card using different depth foam sticky pads.

I may keep this card for myself, just to remind me that I need to have the courage to go for my dreams :) What dreams or aspirations do you all have for this coming year? I would love to hear about them.

  2. Such a fab card, and if I lived nearby, I'd totally come to your colouring classes!
I'm actually going to be doing a couple of "cardmaking for beginners" workshops for the charity shop I work in... We'll start with using toppers etc, but I'm hoping to progress to stamping, etc. if the demand is there. Will be putting feeler out to the community to see if there's an interest in other things like mixed media and such too. We just need a few tables and chairs (we already have the space) and some basic supplies and we're good to go! So exciting to be doing something I love and make money for charity in the process! :-) x

  11. Happy New Year, Sam! Hope you and your family had a lovely Christmas! Gorgeous make as always!
I think it would be very selfish of you NOT to share your incredible talent by giving classes! Like Sammy, if I were nearer, I’d be the first to enrol and make a right nuisance of myself by asking loads of questions too!! :) xxx
