Although Annie is coloured using Promarkers, the background was stamped and painted with Brushos (and this was all done after colouring her in!!)
I have just discovered the wonderful world of drawing gum!! Oh my its fun, hehe
For those of you who have never heard of it before, it is a liquid, that once painted over an area, dries and then protects it from inks and paints etc. Once your inks/paints have then dried, you gently rub off the drawing gum to be left with a clear area underneath.
In this case, I had already coloured Annie up and wasn't sure how well it would work over my markers, but i'm pleased to say, very well :) She was stamped directly over and painted directly over and yet she is as clean as a whistle now the gum has been removed :) I can see this having lots of uses, but it certainly worked well to enable me to create a background for an already coloured image. Although I could of used a traditional mask, this would not of course been any good for keeping the paint off.
