CASTLE CARD

Hey everyone, I hope everyone is well and getting to craft more than me!!

Things still haven't calmed down here and so not been able to get upto too much craftiness or get moving into my new craft room!! :(

I do have my nieces birthday this weekend though and she is hooked on Disney Princesses and anything pink! So I had to make sure I got a card made for her and this is it.

I decided on the pink castle early on and I wanted to make the walls, door, roof etc look as realistic as possible but still very pink and girlie.

I added some glitter around the windows and door and a few spots on the roofs and flag tips - Notice the flags have a birthday message and her name embossed on them :)

I still felt the card needed a bit of something else though so decided to use a free colouring download from the Disney site (yes meant for children...lol), of the princess from Tangled - She was quite a detailed character to be coloured compared to some of the others, so it made her a perfect choice for being used. I did mess up the colouring on her hair abit, but don't have time to re-do :( I'm sure my niece wont mind though :p

As much as I was tempted to do her in my nieces favourite colour pink, I thought this would be definite overkill with an already very pink castle, so I settled on a soft turquoisey green to complement the pink. I added some gems and a pearl, along with a bit of clear embossing for her crown and was left with what I thought was a very sweet little princess.

I popped her onto the front of the castle and the card was finished.

Hope you like it

    1. Thanks Emmey, But I really messed the hair up on this one :( In fact had she not been Rapunzel, who in the movie had blonde hair, she would've ended up as a brunette...lol...I may of had a confused Niece had I done that though! x

  2. Sam, As the Mom to 3 boys, this is just so girly I can't stand it! I'm in love!!! I agree with Emmye that the color of her dress WAS the right choice. And those "jewels" you put on her crown are so perfect. Great job, my new friend!!
