OK, so this card was made mainly for the Sweetstopsketches challenge and as a simple version case study of a sunflower card created by a wonderful stamper called 'Tosh' (this is her site here), but is also eligible for a few others :)
The theme was this sketch and the twist was 'Sunflowers' - So I used the sketch literally and added a couple of extras.
I mainly utilised the Silhouettes print and cut functions and used an old photo of a sunflower picture that I took about a year ago. I decided that rather than adding sunflowers to another theme, I would make the Sunflowers the focal point.
I distressed the edge of the photo to give it a bit of a vintage feel and also the edge of middle rectangle mat, just to help tie it all in.
Added a happy sunny sentiment, of which I embossed the word 'Sunshine' so it was nice and shiny and added a bit of texture and a couple of flowers that were just two layers attached together with a paper fastener and with the centres coloured in using a Cocoa Promarker.
