GUEST DESIGNER FOR SKETCH SATURDAY WITH MILKCOFFEE


Hey everyone :) How are you all? Well I hope :)

This week I was lucky enough to be asked to be a guest designer for Sketch Saturday on behalf of MilkCoffee and I got to use this wonderful sketch!


As I had a very special 60th birthday card to make, I thought I would use this gorgeous digi 'Madeline is going to opera house'. Don't you think she is beautiful?
Her outfit and hat are fab and with all the folds in her dress she was great fun to colour.



Madeline is coloured using Promarkers. 

I finally used my first page from a Tim Holtz pad I have been coveting for a while...hehe... To follow the sketch, I could only have one other layer, but so that it wouldn't look too plain, I wanted the background paper to have its own detail!



This certainly does and I thought the Paris themed vintage paper would fit beautifully.
I distressed all edges with Vintage photo distress ink.

I used some browny/gold chiffon ribbon as it had a nice vintage feel and some tea roses from my stash.



The semi circle pieces are just distressed pieces of packaging card, that I thought may be useful rather than putting in the recycling :)
