CRAFTING CAFE - EMBOSSING (WET OR DRY)

Hello happy crafters, well at least I hope you are all happy :) It's my turn again to host the blog over at Crafting Cafe and you can find my post HERE

This month our fab sponsors are WOW Embossing powders.
This month we got to use our own images, yay, so I used Abi Ballerina from all dressed up, as I had already coloured her a little while back, when testing out my new Christmas goodies :)

Firstly I painted all the areas where I wanted shade, with my shiny new perfect pearls (sadly you can't really see their gorgeous shimmer in the photos). After this dried I finished Abi by colouring any white bits with my promarkers. I chose not to shade her with the pens as it wasn't the look I was going for.

I stamped a heart circle stamp in the top right corner and dusted it with Berry Twist perfect pearls, so you can see a soft shimmery sheen under the flower.

The sentiment banner had the word birthday cut out using my silhouette and I then ran it through my big shot with my dotty embossing folder, to give it, its nice raised spots. I placed some Pink ribbon behind the letters, to help them stand out more.

The flower is cut using bigshot dies, but firstly I swiped some distress ink over the non-raised side of my embossing folder and then carefully placed in a piece of white card. I then wound it through the bigshot and as it pushed the embossing folder closed it pushed the colour off onto the card, but not in the dotted areas. So I ended up with gorgeous coloured flowers, with beautifully white and embossed raised dots all over them :)
I then popped a pink gem heart in the centre to finish it off.

I hope you will enter our Embossing challenge and don't forget to check Crafting Cafe later in the month for more DT inspiration
