SCRIBBLE AND SCRAP GDT - ANYTHING GOES

Woohoo, the time has finally come to share my GDT card for Scribble & Scrap with you :)

Recently my normal type of card has been one with a coloured stamp featured somewhere on it, so I was a little worried I may not do Lexie's fabulous photo images the justice they deserve.

I picked Vintage photo sheet 1 and the difficulty was then deciding which one of the wonderful images to use. It ended up being between the little girls having a tea party and this one. If I had had more time I would of made more than one card, but hopefully you will see more soon :)

The reason I settled on this image in the end, was because I decided to make my best friends birthday card, which will be coming up soon, and this pair, I'm sure are best friends :)

We have been best friends since we met when we were 12 years old and the sentiment fits us perfectly, as sometimes we are both so busy with every day life that the months creep by before we meet up. But when we do, we laugh (and sometimes cry) all night long as if we've never been apart. She is always there for me and I am always there for her, I am truly blessed to have her in my life.

The photo also reminds me of our youngest Lilly who is one and a half and our big softie of a rottweiler Vinnie, who love spending time together. She especially likes making him drink cups of tea from her tea set ....hehe...

I used some backing paper from my Tim Holtz paper stash pad, added some lace along both edges and created a small and large lace flower using different depth lace and different button centres. I used distress ink on all of the lace, as it was too bright and clean looking before hand!

The mats for both the photo and the sentiment were cut using Spellbinder dies and if you look closely at the photo you will see there is also an embossed frame around the image, this was also done using a spellbinder die.

I found my pearls!!! Yay!! And so I created the flourish using my pearls.

Materials Used
Tim Holtz Paper stash 8X8 pad
Lace - Hobbycraft
Buttons - From stash
Distress inks - Vintage photo, black soot and Walnut stain
Spellbinder dies - Labels 34 & Imperial gold enhancing elements labels 34 & two sizes of Decorative labels 34
