MILKCOFFEE - STITCHING FAUX OR REAL

It's showcase time over at MilkCoffee and the theme is 'Stitching - Faux or Real!

I used the cute image Michelle in hot air balloon

The image was coloured and then fussy cut and mounted onto an oval mat, made from adorable cloud digi paper. This mat was then distressed around the edge to help it stand out from the backing paper. I used faux stitching all over my balloon to make it look as though it was made out of patches.

The balloon was also curved slightly before mounting, to give it some depth and make it look 3D.

As little Michelle is tossing some flowers out from the balloon and these were cut off when fussy cutting, I decided to use some flower embellishments to create the effect. I have used some purply/pinky sequin flowers and some diamante flowers.

The background layer, is a digi note book page from the Silhouette store and the pink balloons are part of the paper, however i cut the bottom section of them, so that I could tuck the oval mat underneath and they now hopefully look like they are flying along with Michelle and her balloon :)

I used an uplifting sentiment, that also goes with the flying in a hot air balloon theme :) This was printed, distressed and 3D mounted, with a couple of pearls added to the sides.

Don't forget to pop along and take a look at the other beautiful creations the DT have made
