VISIBLE IMAGE - GRUNGY PERFECT PEARLS STORAGE

Hey everyone, I just want to say a quick hi to my new followers and to say thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments and support you all leave me, it really does mean so much, thank you :)
Don't forget there's still chance to enter my GIVEAWAY for a fab 12 set of Promarkers.

Now it's time for my weekly Visible Image Stamps post.
You may remember THIS grungy glue/stickles holder I made a little while ago. Well I finally had a chance to get a little shelf thingy made to match, to hold my perfect pearls in a way that I could get to them all easily :) It also takes up far less space on my side than the perfect pearl pots all piled up.

First I cut all of the pieces for my unit. I then painted each piece with acrylic paint, leaving some areas with rough/peaked bits of paint on them. Once this was dry, I stamped the images where I wanted them in black Archival ink.
The stamps I used for this project were
INKognito Vision
Then I put it all together to create the unit.

I then covered it all in a bitumen solution and again left it to dry!
Once this was dry, I took some white spirit on a cloth and began wiping areas of the bitumen solution off, exposing what was underneath.
When  I was happy with how it looked I stopped and left it to dry one final time.
Finally I took some Enchanted Gold gilding wax and rubbed it over the unit, mainly in areas with some of the raised paint, to create some nice visible texture. This did make it difficult to photograph as the light kept reflecting off the gilding wax, but in real it makes it look so luxurious. It looks fab standing next to my glue holder :)

  6. Great project. Great to see what you've got rather than be tucked away where you can't see them x

  7. My poor Perfect Pearls live a lonely, unloved existence in an old gift box. I forget about them, ‘out of sight out of mind’ I guess! But this…..this I need. I could use it for so many different things! I love it, Sam, such beautiful colours too! Please pack it up and send it to me at your earliest convenience!! ;) :) xx
