VISIBLE IMAGE - FIELD OF COURAGE!

Hi everyone, a little later than expected (Should of gone live this morning) but blogger decided to play games with my post instead!! Hope you are all OK.

A huge welcome to my new followers and I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone for their continued support and comments and I promise I will be around to leave some love and see the wonderful creations for all of those that have done so for me :)

Today is my weekly post for Visible Image Stamps.

For my card I have used the following stamps: Dragonfly, Tall Grass, Large Tall Grass and the sentiment from the OZ Lion set.
Although hard to see in the photos, the card is in two parts. It has a front section that has been fussy cut and then stuck onto the main bit of the card with a slight raise/curve in the middle to give the feeling of depth.

I stamped the back piece of black card with both Grass sets, in a white ink, the black card I used was quite absorbent so the white fades right down, which I wanted, you could however use second generation ink to create a lighter effect.

I then created my top layer using the grass stamps and my Dragonfly stamp. I gave the dragonflies a very light wash of white paint that had been watered right down. This gave me a base colour to colour over, as otherwise it can be hard to see when you try to colour straight onto black.

I coloured my dragonflies in with my Pencils and I also coloured straight over all the grass with my pencils.

The front layer which was cut slightly wider than the back section was then stuck onto the back section, creating a nice raised curve and some dimension, because it was longer.

It was all matted and layered onto some silver miri card and then black, with edges distressed very slightly to break up the solid colours a little.

To finish it off I used the find your courage sentiment, I thought the style of the card fitted well and its perfect for how I am feeling right now. The sentiment was stamped with glue and then I added some silver gilding flakes, the back card it is stamped on was first cut with a small die and around the debossed edges I used my silver wink of luna, which I then rubbed lightly over with a scourer sponge to make it look not quite as solid/smooth.
