VISIBLE IMAGE - ONCE UPON A TIME...

Hey everyone :) I hope you are all having a great start to the week.

I'm back with an early DT creation for Visible Image Stamps and on Sunday you can expect to see a fab post from Sue :)

For this card I used stamps from the - Once Upon a Time stamp set.

Not only does it have this wonderful castle

But it also has fab fairytale sentiments, with the most beautiful ornate capital letters.

It also has the words 'the end' as a stamp, so you could even make a gorgeous fairytale style scrap book! Oooo I may now have to put that on my to do list hehe.
You can also see the castle and these words used on my altered canvas HERE. Where I hand held and randomly stamped with them.

I cut out 3 layers of book papers, that would all nest inside each other and also cut out a mat for each layer, with the bottom layer being large enough for a card front.

I stacked the 3 layers up, excluding the mats and stamped my image across the layers using olive green ink, I masked this up and stamped a second same image. Then using peeled paint (green) distress ink, I coloured over the darker sections of the images to add shade.

Using black ink I stamped the words.

After each layer had dried I distressed the paper layers with Antique Linen and the mat layers by scuffing with scissors and with Vintage photo distress ink. And then matted and layered them all together, being sure to line up the image on each layer. Each layer is raised up and adhered using 3D foam pads.

I don't always make inserts for my cards, but as I wanted this to feel very olde worlde, I made one for this. I distressed a cream piece of paper and added a section of the castle in the corner.
